What is, or has been, your favourite product? - "I immediately saw the potential of the greenteQ Q-Smart electronic door handle."

What is your most memorable moment since joining VBH? - "Winning Component Supplier of the Year at the G-Awards. It’s great that all the hard work put in by  the whole team was recognised by the industry that night"

Do you have any interests outside of work that you don't mind sharing with us? - "Football all the way. I’m a Manchester United fan but I also enjoy going to watch my local team,  Daventry Town."

Q & A with Jan:

When did you join VBH? - "I joined VBH, then called Wagner, in December 2007."

How long have you been in our industry? - "I've been in our industry since 1989."

What do you consider to be your main strength? - "I build relationships with customers, resulting in trustworthy, mutually beneficial trading relationships."

What is, or has been, your favourite product? - "greenteQ Clearspan bi-folding door hardware. I don't think I'm alone in that."

What is your most memorable moment since joining VBH? - "Too many to mention, really. However, being at the awards ceremony in London when VBH won Component Supplier of Year at the G18 Awards has to be right up there. Being so short sometimes has advantages and sometimes not. In this case not as I couldn't be seen in the official photo on the night as I was totally obscured by my taller team mates. But I was there!"

Do you have any interests outside of work that you don't mind sharing with us? - "I’m an animal lover and support many charities. My 3 dogs are a total joy; a proper mix up of breeds. I’m known affectionately as the Mad Dog Woman, but receive so much positivity and unconditional love – PAWFECT!!!"

When did you join VBH? - "I joined VBH in October 2020"

How long have you been in our industry? - "I've been in our industry since 1991. The first 14 were spent in manufacturing but I've been involved with hardware since then."

What do you consider to be your main strength? - "I always put my customers first, and I always listen."

What is, or has been, your favourite product? - "Easy. greenteQ Clearspan bi-fold door hardware. It's a fantastic product!"

What is your most memorable moment since joining VBH? - "My first day at VBH, and how welcome I was made to feel by everyone."

Do you have any interests outside of work that you don't mind sharing with us? - "Lots. I love cruise ship holidays to anywhere where it's hot and sunny and there's a free bar! Having said that I enjoy getting away within the UK, too. Nearer to home I love spending time with my family and pottering in my little garden.  I'm a music fan, particularly soul and Frank Sinatra. I like watching boxing, and also like the 'odd' visit to the pub, but the two aren't related!"
