Although inline sliders are the simplest form of sliding door, there are many variations to choose from at VBH. We can supply the following systems for sliding doors:

Lift/Slide hardware is the perfect solution where extremely wide and/or heavy sliding sashes are called for. VBH stocks the Siegenia-Aubi HS-Portal system, which makes it possible to produce sashes up to 3.335m wide, with a total width span up to nearly 20 metres on some schemes. Most manufacturers prefer to produce their own timber sill but we can supply Siegenia-Aubi’s insulated aluminium threshold and frame connectors if required. These are supplied in a choice of silver, mid-bronze and dark-bronze anodised finishes. We stock HS-Portal 300 in the UK, giving a maximum sash weight of 300Kg. Up to 400Kg sash weights can be achieved by fitting HS Portal 400, available to special order.
Although not a lift/slide door system (as it does not lift) we also supply the Roto Patio Life sliding door system for timber sliders. This product works using the same timber profiles as lift/slide hardware and has similar weight and sash size capabilities. |
Tilt/Slide patios provide the best features of tilt and turn windows and sliding doors. Like a tilt and turn, the sash features locking points around the whole perimeter, ensuring excellent weather-proofing. The sash can also be tilted inwards to provide a generous flow of fresh air. When the user wants to open the door fully, simply move the handle to the ‘slide’ position and slide the sash open. | Bi-Fold Door Hardware |
Bi-Fold, or Folding/Sliding doors are a real growth area. VBH supplies both the Roto Patio 6080 and Siegenia-Aubi FS-Portal systems for PVCu, timber and aluminium doors. Both systems can be fitted as inward or outward opening installations and enhanced low threshold is possible. |
